Remote Part-Time - Experienced Haskell Developer

Join our Haskellers team at Stack Builders ! We’re looking for an experienced functional programming engineer to support a long-term project that is almost entirely built in Haskell. This is a staff augmentation role where you’ll contribute to the development and optimization of a mission-critical application with high scalability and data integrity requirements.

We’re seeking a part-time remote contractor (20–30 hours per week) with strong Haskell expertise and the ability to collaborate on database and infrastructure enhancements. This role requires a proactive professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering robust, high-quality code.

Requirements

• Advanced English (spoken and written). You will be directly communicating with the client.
• Must be able to work as an independent contractor . For candidates based in the US, an LLC, S-Corp, or C-Corp structure is required
• 5+ years of professional Haskell experience with outstanding programming skills.
• Strong experience with Yesod and database-related libraries (Persistent, Esqueleto).
• Solid background in writing clean, testable, and scalable code.
• Experience applying property-based testing.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication .
• Availability to work 20–30 hours per week and overlap 4 hours daily with EDT.
• Bonus : Frontend experience with TypeScript / React.

Responsibilities

The projected hourly range for this position is from $55.00 to $60.00 / hour, determined by the candidate's interview outcome, skills, experience, education, and alignment with market data.
