SENIOR NETWORK ARCHITECT (LJT)

Location: Budapest, VIII. district, hybrid (3 days/week in office)

Tasks:

• Design and maintain scalable Spine-Leaf network architectures supporting modern enterprise and cloud environments.
• Drive adoption of modern overlay networking technologies, including EVPN/VXLAN, to enable scalable and flexible network architectures.
• Design and support networking solutions for Kubernetes and container platforms, aligning network architecture with cloud-native operating models.
• Implement container networking, ingress/egress controls, service connectivity, and network segmentation for secure and efficient application communication.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps methodologies.
• Integrate infrastructure deployment processes with CI/CD pipelines and promote automation-first operational practices.
• Implement monitoring, telemetry, and observability solutions to improve operational visibility and platform reliability.
• Evaluate and implement programmable networking technologies and support AI/ML infrastructure networking requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to engineering teams, collaborating across infrastructure, security, and application domains.
• Ensuring the completion of development tasks to support the new release of projects/solutions
• Grooming user stories with Product Owner
• Supporting production requests or fixing issues
• Unit testing applications and reporting daily progress on daily stand-up meetings

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, network architecture, or cloud networking.
• 5+ years of work experience with Kubernetes
• 5+ years of work experience with Terraform
• 5+ years of work experience with Ethernet VPN (EVPN)
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise network solutions.
• Strong background in private cloud, Kubernetes, and cloud-native networking.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Deep understanding of network security principles and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience working across multiple technical and business teams.
• Confident English in written and spoken.
• Candidate needs to be to be currently eligible to work in Hungary.

Good to have:

• Industry certifications in networking, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or automation technologies.
• Experience with enterprise Kubernetes deployments.
• Experience implementing observability platforms and telemetry solutions.
• Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure networking.
• Experience in highly regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
• Experience with programmable networking and open networking technologies
