Senior General Ledger Accountant

Purpose of the role :

This role is responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account reconciliations. Leading / managing monthly closings and account analysis and coach / support the junior accountants in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

While doing these duties, the accountant ensures that it is in compliance with the professional legal practices and standards, and also with the organization's policies and procedures. Work cross functionally to ensure accurate and controlled financial data.

Your responsibilites :

• Participation of month end closing : Calculate & prepare & review journal entries Complete general ledger operations Manage the monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements Processing revaluation Manage complex end to end accounting, month end closing processes Support reporting to HFM, eliminate validation errors Draw up monthly financial reports Assistance in preparation of analysis of accounts as requested Lead / manage year-end closings Participate in internal and external audits
• Perform account reconciliations and analyse accounts
• Proactively come up with new ideas
• Drive standardization efforts
• Manage projects
• Ensure timely processing of assigned tasks in accordance with Closing Calendar
• Ensure manual entries executed on time and correctly within the period in the ERP
• Ensure BS reconciliations are done efficiently, required adjustments are resolved
• Understanding of Company Chart of Accounts logic BS / PL
• Comply with internal and external controls, fiscal, tax, local and corporate requirements
