Tax Accountant - Experienced
Your role in a nutshell :
The Direct Tax Team is part of the VOIS Tax organization, consisting of highly skilled and experienced professionals who provide support to Group Tax and Local Markets across a broad range of services. In this role, your key responsibilities include extracting and analysing data for tax-related purposes, preparing tax calculations and returns, reviewing tax adjustments and payments. In addition, you will be responsible for compiling tax reports tailored to local market regulations in various countries around the world as well as participating in various tax-related projects through which you can contribute to future-proofing our department.
What you’ll do :
- Extracts and analyzes accounting data for tax purposes.
- Prepares tax calculations, returns and reclaims.
- Prepares and monitors tax payments.
- Assists with preparing transfer pricing documentation.
- Reviews and verifies the accuracy of tax accounting data in the ERP systems.
- Perform tax reporting and tax payment forecasts.
- Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations against final tax payments / refunds and statements from Tax Authorities, where applicable.
- Completes / collects tax exemption and tax residency certificates, tax withholding forms from vendors and Vodafone operating companies, and manages required updates to vendor / customer master data in the ERP system.
- Reviews payment proposals and corrects any incorrect deductions or system mis-postings before the invoices are paid.
- Reviews and verifies the accuracy of tax accounting data in the ERP systems for Corporate Tax return preparation purposes.
- Prepares internal tax returns for forecasting, budgeting and year-end purposes under IFRS and local GAAP and liaises with Group Tax in case of any queries.
- Initiates tax master data changes where necessary by tax, legal or reporting requirements.
