Unit 55 - Information Security
Job profile
Would you like to support the Federal Police's ICT service provider? With your expertise, you can help to optimize the IT of the Federal Police and thus ensure the work of our 54,000 colleagues.
Unit 55 - Security Operations Center (SOC, Center for Security-Related Incidents) is responsible for securing the Federal Police in cyberspace and coordinating and processing ICT-related security incidents. Your tasks include the operation and monitoring with CheckMK, maintenance and care of the self-sufficient Linux-based network infrastructure and IT systems of the SOC. You will identify the causes of faults in the Linux PC / server, networks and virtualization platforms and independently initiate measures to rectify them. You will monitor release upgrades, changes, roll-out measures as well as commissioning and decommissioning measures. In addition, you will be responsible for the administration of the complex, secure and highly available network infrastructure, taking into account the protection requirements of the various services and processed data. Your tasks will also include the provision, administration and adaptation of system configurations with Ansible and the scaling of applications with Docker and Kubernetes. You will also be involved in updating the concept for monitoring new network infrastructures and IT systems.

Recruitment is generally intended as a tariff employee. Classification is in accordance with the provisions of the TV EntgO Bund and the personal requirements in pay group 11.
If the requirements (completed IT degree and / or relevant professional experience) are not met, the employee will be placed in a lower pay group.

For applicants in the higher administrative service, a position with the grade A 11 BBesO is available for the advertised post. Applicants from external authorities can therefore be considered up to grade A 11 BBesO.
