KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Responsible for local site related annual budget planning and ensuring the correct ordering and procurement processes
- Partner with the Site Leadership Team to align IT initiatives with business objectives and manufacturing requirements
- Develop and execute site-specific IT strategies that support both local needs and global IT initiatives
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders across Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other departments on site.
- Participate in site leadership meetings to provide IT expertise and insights
- Drive changes and communication on site regarding all upcoming major changes on local infrastructure and global application which are not initiated locally
Infrastructure & Operations Management in cooperation with the global infrastructure and network team (global / local model)
Oversee the site's IT and OT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of critical systemsResponsible for local network and server infrastructure, including industrial networks supporting manufacturing operationsEnsure robust backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place and regularly testedCoordinate with global IT teams on infrastructure projects and improvementsCybersecurity & Compliance
Hold direct responsibility for site cybersecurity across both IT and OT domains, operating under Group CISO directives and policiesDevelop and execute local cybersecurity strategy and implementation plans aligned with corporate security frameworkLead site-specific cyber risk assessments and manage the local cyber risk registerEnsure compliance with GxP regulations, data integrity requirements, and industry standardsIs responsible for ensuring that the site complies with cyber regulationsOversee security controls implementation and monitoring for manufacturing systems and industrial networksCoordinate security assessments, audits, and penetration testing, managing remediation of identified issuesLead local incident response efforts and crisis management for any security incidentsRegular reporting to CISO on site cybersecurity status, incidents, and risk metricsActively support and develop site cybersecurity awareness program for all employeesApplication Management
Oversee local applications portfolio, particularly manufacturing execution systems (MES), quality management systems and laboratory systems.Coordinate with global application teams for implementations, updates, and support including coordinating communication, testing and rollout with local key users for global applications like SAP to ensure a smooth rolloutEnsure application validation meets pharmaceutical industry requirements in collaboration with IT QA and local Quality teamsDrive continuous improvement initiatives for application performance and user experienceService Delivery & Support
Manage local IT support team providing helpdesk and on-site technical assistance as well as support to network, hosting and applicationsEnsure service level agreements are met and maintain high customer satisfactionCoordinate with global service delivery teams for escalated issuesImplement IT service management best practicesREQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related fieldMinimum 8 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in manufacturing environmentExperience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing industry preferredStrong understanding of GxP regulations and pharmaceutical compliance requirementsExtensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)Experience in OT systems, industrial control systems, and ICS security standards (e.g., IEC 62443)Solid understanding of pharmaceutical validation requirements and GxP regulationsExperience implementing and managing security controls in manufacturing environmentsExpert knowledge in assigned global domains (e.g., pharmaceutical labeling systems, Microsoft 365, manufacturing applications)Strong vendor and contract management capabilitiesExperience with enterprise architecture and solution designKnowledge of change control and configuration management in regulated environmentsExperience with manufacturing and quality management applicationsKnowledge of IT service management frameworks and best practicesFamiliarity with pharmaceutical validation requirementsProven experience managing technical teams in a matrix organizationStrong business acumen and ability to align IT with business objectivesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience in change management and organizational transformationAbility to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment
