Purpose of the role :

The Professional & HR Services Category Manager’s main role is to independently create, manage and deploy purchasing strategy for assigned commodity groups.

The role includes but not limited to management of strategic sourcing activities for Financial, Legal, HR Services, Communications, Outsourced Operations & T&E.

The person is responsible to convert business needs into sourcing actions, securing optimal price / value ratio of purchases and delivering agreed saving initiatives. The Category Manager is the primary face towards suppliers when it comes to negotiation, contract lifecycle and performance management. Ensures good communication, information flow and collaboration between different hierarchical levels to pass high quality standards into the company.

The Manager successfully interacts with Procurement Operations in order to collect business needs and secure that category strategy is implemented on plant level. Ensures the highest efficiency combined with innovation, automation to increase value.

Your responsibilities :

• Accountable for ensuring delivery against the overall and individual Procurement Targets defined for the organization and the assigned category
• Responsible for the development creation and communication of the final Category Strategy and Category Plans to the relevant stakeholders
• Owns the key supplier relationship and defines governance process.
• Accountable for ensuring robust contractual arrangements are in place for the category
• Actively drive integration of Procurement in core business processes, ensure the implementation of Procurement governance model and ensure consistency with the Trivium requirements and standards
• Manage contracts throughout their entire lifecycle including all changes, variations and claim management
• Manage negotiation process, content and results
• Establish cross-functional teams to negotiate and implement improved service delivery
• Collaborate closely with relevant departments to ensure understanding and compliance with key procurement strategies and policies
• Provide periodic and ad hoc reports and forecasts on performance against plan and potential in following up on KPIs and reporting on trends
