The Role
The GL Accountant will be a key member of the EMEA finance team reporting to the EMEA Accounting Manager. The rapidly expanding global Finance organization based in Budapest, Hungary supports the accounting, payroll, and other related daily processes of more than 1,400 employees across 22 countries in Europe.
The GL Accountant will be involved in all aspects of the regular accounting activities, will participate in projects and will be expected to leverage their experience to drive innovation within the group. This role plays a crucial part in the monthly, quarterly financial close processes, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to overall financial excellence.
What You'll Do
- Participate actively in the monthly and quarterly close processes for multiple EMEA entities
- Be involved in day-to-day accounting activities
- Ensure compliance with SOX policies
- Cooperate with external accounting service providers and auditors in several countries
- Actively participate in process improvements and projects
- Be involved in the training and education of junior team members
Requirements
