Supply Planner

Demand and Supply planning is a new digital capability enhancement which will be built upon existing Network Stock Solution (NSS) - a flagship program of Logistics digitisation in Vodafone. Vodafone decided to adopt SAP IBP on cloud which is integrated with Vodafone SAP ERP system. Demand and Supply planning is designed to support Vodafone processes and controls around Procurement, Inventory & Asset management and highly integrated with financial books of accounts.

What you'll do :

  • Establish a predefined supply plan through the following key SCM pillars : Monthly Demand cycle managementWork with key stakeholder functions and on their inputs during the monthly demand cycle process including Demand Planning, FinancePrepare forecast in SAP IBP system based on Demand Planning directionVerify Procurement Proposals, PR’s and place PO’s towards pre-selected SuppliersEnsure timely completion of forecast generation steps according to the preset cycle calendarDrive collaboration between Business and Suppliers on demand related topics
  • Supplier operations managementShare material forecast with Suppliers, identify potential risks or constraints over the full planning horizonPrepare and provide valuable and qualitative input into Supply collaboration meetingsParticipate in Supplier performance review meetings together with VPC manager, provide inputs, identify root causes or out-of-target situations and co-develop solution
  • Material supply plan preparation and executionPropose most feasible supply plan considering supplier commitments and budget constraintsSupport the allocation and prioritization process for both materials and capacityIdentify potential exceptions that require specific actions (major changes in demand / supply and material shortages), apply pre-defined protocols with follow-up on resolution
  • Inventory ManagementSet-up and control inventory targets, analyze and report on potential inventory at risk / aged inventoryCheck on return inventory and possible utilization of materials on Corporate Asset Marketplace
  • Process improvement initiativesSuggest and implement agreed improvements to supply planning processesEscalate specific exceptions that require approval to be resolvedCommunication with other functions to ensure alignment on the VPC defined key strategies and business prioritiesSupport the Corporate overall business direction initiatives from Supply Planning perspective

What you will bring to the team :

  • 5+ years of experience in related areas of supply chain
  • Graduation from an engineering department is preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively manage expected and unexpected changes in the plan, under time constraints and with limited information
  • Ability to propose and create supply scenarios
  • Ability to have a holistic vision of inputs from different functions (Deployment, Engineering Team, Finance, Supply Planning) and be able to integrate all of them in the demand forecast
  • Ability to achieve the best overall planning result for the organization by balancing customer service levels, working capital, asset utilization and cost.
