Engineering Team Lead

The Role

As a Team Lead in the Payments team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our Payments Platform. Reporting to the Engineering Manager (Hungary-based), you will lead a squad of 6–8 talented engineers, balancing technical leadership with people management.

Your primary focus will be to :

• Run the team effectively : Lead agile ceremonies (daily standups, refinements, retrospectives) and ensure smooth delivery.
• Drive technical clarity : Facilitate technical discussions, bring clarity to requirements, and guide the team toward well-informed technical decisions.
• Collaborate across functions : Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and UX designers—raising risks, offering ideas, and asking the right questions to shape solutions.
• Lead and develop people : Be the people manager for your squad—providing feedback, supporting career growth, organizing 1 : 1s, managing performance, and contributing to compensation reviews.
• Deliver impact : Ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable payment solutions that create exceptional user experiences.
