The position
As a Business Development Manager Obesity, you will screen, identify and open business opportunities and innovative solutions with primarily private sector partners (e.g. chains, clinics, insurance companies, sickness funds, pharmacies, big employers with health benefit systems, etc.)Also you will strengthen understanding of obesity as a chronic disease and drive change in obesity treatment including anti-obesity medication to enhance better patient outcomes. Strengthen Novo Nordisk’s position as the market leader and preferred partner in obesity management.
Your responsibilities included but not limited to :
- Responsible for supporting growth of the obesity business by finding and driving new business opportunities with private health care providers and insurance companies, entering into new commercial partnerships.
- Develop new business models with private health insurance companies. Network and influence key private sector decision makers by communicating the value of developing obesity services with inclusion of Novo Nordisk obesity portfolio to improve patient access to high quality care.
- Generate insights into willingness to pay, obstacles to and solutions for longer treatment duration focusing on the real value beyond weight loss. Drive prioritized and competitive business development projects from start to finish : identify and pursue business solutions; establish strong relationships with wide range of private stakeholders such as private health care organizations / insurances / payers; initiate, lead and finalize collaboration and negotiation processes; ensure life cycle management of signed agreements.
- Demonstrates subject matter expertise (8 level). Develop, implement and adapt account-based action plans according to business needs . Contribute to the Obesity Business Unit to build the business development strategic plans and input into the overall obesity plan. Proactively contribute to cross functional collaboration. Lead complex projects in higher complexity area (8 level).
- Manage professional, knowledge driven project teams (8 level). Challenge the status quo, mindset and pursue improvement in Obesity services, management, towards improved Patient journey and seamless experience, keeping in mind Patients’ outcomes as the key driver for decision making.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have :
Master's degree, Relevant qualification (Medical / Pharmacist or / and Marketing, Business ManagementDemonstrate a strong history of business understanding, successful sales and account managementBuilding new therapy areaBusiness models, mapping and driving innovative solutions, competitive approaches and exceeding sales goalsHas relevant work experience within Public or private health care marketing / sales or private health insuranceHas insights to the health care system, private market, clinical practice and pharmacy segmentExperience within alliance management / working with external commercial partnerships is a benefitExperience within B2BOutstanding Key Account Management and business planning skillsStrong Commercial / Business AcumenAbility to expand stakeholder relationships at all levels though continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectivesAdvanced proactivity, accountability, stakeholder and project management skillsPosition might require specialist skills in addition to the leadership role – project team lead (8 level)Typically leads several professional employees with tasks of medium to high complexity in the project teams (8 level)Excellent communication, negotiating and interaction skillsStrong analytical, strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skillsAbility to work with autonomy as well as being a strong team playerFluent in English (written and spoken)Integrity and strong ethicsAbout the department
