Required Skills for a Network Engineer :

• EDP technology degree (university or comparable) or comparable degree in natural sciences
• Experience of administration of huge WAN Networks and of the set-up of routers, switches and firewalls in combination with Loadbalancers
• Reliable knowledge of Farbic design and structure
• CISCO CCIE or comparable certificates
• Experience of project support
• Specialised knowledge of Cisco and Juniper (certificates on training / courses are obligatory)
• Reliable knowledge of Loadbalancers, Firewalls Radius, Tacacs and LDAP
• Experience of Traffic Shaping solutions
• Experience of configuration, maintenance, updates and security management of network and server components
• Excellent and state-of-the-art knowledge and practical knowledge of UNIX / LINUX operating system
• Experience of issuing tenders for hardware and software procurement
• Cooperative, task-orientated and matter-of -fact way of working
• Practical experience and planning experience of MPLS / VPLS
• English language skills in reading and writing, German is advantage
• Basic knowledge of DWDM
