To support our international growth and improve employee experience across locations, we are looking for an Senior HR Generalist to join our Budapest-based team.
Your Role As our new HR Generalist, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and improving core HR processes and serving as the go-to person for employees on HR-related matters.
You’ll work closely with leadership, payroll providers, and employees in Hungary and other locations to ensure smooth HR operations and a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Onboarding, Offboarding & Recruitment Support recruitment activities at some extent (including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication).
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes and help shape them into structured, repeatable workflows.
Support the exit process for departing employees, including offboarding meetings and documentation.
Employee Relations & Support Act as the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
Assist with performance management processes and routine employee check-ins.
Compliance & Policies Ensure HR practices comply with Hungarian labor law and internal policies.
Help update and communicate HR policies and procedures.
Support audits and maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records.
Engagement & Communication Coordinate internal communications such as newsletters and HR announcements.
Help plan and execute company events, including team-building activities, the summer party, and the Christmas party.
Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance employee experience.
Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for HR workflows.
HR Administration Oversight Oversee day-to-day HR administration tasks performed by a junior HR colleague.
Ensure accuracy and compliance in employment contracts, employee changes, payroll-related data, and HR recordkeeping.
Liaise with payroll providers and ensure data is submitted correctly and on time.
What We’re Looking For Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role.
Solid knowledge of Hungarian labor law and HR practices.
Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Proactive, approachable, and solutions-oriented personality.
Experience working in an international or multi-location environment is a plus.
