Job Description Be responsible for the robust design of power components from 100W up to 200kW for automotive applications, mostly for power modules for (H)EV with the focus on thermo-mechanical behaviour Be the key-player in shaping the mechanical simulation competency field within the organization Work in close cooperation with the thermal simulation, technology and reliability engineers to define and perform the necessary simulations, using the ANSYS platform Evaluate simulation results & derive relevant conclusions out of them, present and discuss the results within the international project team Coordinate a team of simulation engineers to solve various problems from process simulations to validation support and reliability assessment Support the continuous improvement of the simulation / modelling infrastructure to work towards virtual product design & digital engineering by : o defining fast & robust processes o automatizing repetitive workflows o improving accuracy based on validation measurements Carrier perspective towards leadership / specialist Qualifications University degree in Mechanical engineering, Physics or similar, PhD is beneficial Proven background and knowledge in at least 3 of the following topics : thermal and mechanical or thermo-mechanical simulations, material science, FEA theory, model based engineering, fatigue and fracture mechanics At least 5 years experience with FEM simulation tools, ideally ANSYS Workbench and Spaceclaim Experience with scripting (APDL, Python) Fluent English communication and presentation skills, German is beneficial Coordination / leadership experience is beneficial Pro-active behavior, strong desire for continuous improvement of self & the team Additional Information Get to know our #LikeABosch benefits.
