Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Opportunity : Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) Aerospace

Location : Debrecen, Hungary

Reporting line : Global Head of Quality Management and Supplier Quality Oerlikon Surface Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality and Development

  • Translate,communicate and implement customer and Oerlikon specific requirements into the supply chain.
  • Approve supplier processes and parts (PPAP & FAIR process).
  • Analyze supplier quality complaints and implement robust corrective actions and conduct effectiveness checks.
  • Lead supplier audits and development initiatives.
  • Create and maintain the Approved Supplier List and annual evaluations.

Support and Collaboration

  • Strengthen global supplier quality policies and governance models.
  • Develop and harmonize system processes and reports.
  • Analyze KPIs to identify risks and implement corrective actions.

    • Development and Specific Tasks

  • Lead workshops, training, and rood cause analysis for quality improvements.
  • Responsible for supplier complaint processes and to reduce blocked stock level.
  • Monitor and support product development and production release processes.
  • Act as the main contact for suppliers on quality-related issues.
  • Define and communicate KPIs and quality-related reports.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Fluent in Hungarian and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab, and SAP.
  • 10+ years of experience in quality, engineering, or manufacturing (5+ in aerospace / automotive).
  • Familiarity with NADCAP, AS9100 & AS13100 standards, and advanced quality planning.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry requirements; experience in turbines / engines is advantageous.
  • Expertise in measurement instruments, Six Sigma, ISO14001, and lean manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented, and an excellent communicator.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
