The Office for Digitization and Information Technology is the City of Cologne's innovative IT service provider. It combines forward-looking forms of work, an attractive office building, an interesting and diverse working environment and family friendliness in a modern atmosphere.

User Support is the central point of contact for all inquiries (calls, questions, complaints, incidents) relating to information processing and telecommunications. Currently, more than 12,000 IV workstations at 20 locations and around 6,700 mobile devices of the entire administration and political representatives in the city of Cologne are directly supported by the user support of the IV customer service.

YOUR FUTURE TASKS : You ...

  • take over the team management of the HelpDesk with currently eleven positions.
  • assume responsibility for the employees.
  • organize personnel planning, technical equipment and process optimization of the HelpDesk as a "single point of contact" for all customer service points
  • support the strategic planning and further development of user support
  • take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the HelpDesk.
  • ensure the optimization of processes and the identification and elimination of support obstacles by setting up a comprehensive reporting system.
  • support complex IT projects.
  • are responsible for occupational health and safety matters in their area of responsibility.

Your active support as a special functionary in conducting elections and the motivation of your employees to take on such a function is requested. This concerns a maximum of three days per election, which will be rewarded with special leave and an expense allowance.

As part of the personal weekly working hours, a daily support time must be covered for user support, if necessary within a shift at staggered times.

YOUR PROFILE : You ...

  • have successfully completed a (specialist) university degree in a subject area relevant to the task (e.g. computer science or business informatics)
  • proven equivalent skills and experience in the IT field.

    A future-oriented job in Cologne with a modern employer with all the advantages of the public sector and a regulated weekly working time of 39 hours for employees covered by collective agreements or 41 hours for civil servants with a high degree of flexibility within the scope of office-specific possibilities. The position is permanent and is available both part-time and full-time.

    The position is graded according to salary group 11 of the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD IKT) or according to A10 career group 2, 1st entry level LBesG NRW (Salary Act for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, formerly higher service).

    The salary range in pay group 11 (TVöD-IKT) is currently between 4,032.38 euros (experience level 1) and 5,975.19 euros (experience level 6).

    Your professional experience will be taken into account when assigning you to the experience level within the pay group, insofar as this is possible under collective bargaining law.
