    Job profile

    With your expertise, you can help to make the information and communication technology of the Federal Police secure and thus ensure the work of our 54,000 colleagues.

    You will coordinate the Strategic Information Security team, which will grow to up to 13 employees, in the field of information security management and represent the BPOL Information Security Officer in her absence. The main tasks of your team are the conception, creation and updating of information security regulations for the Federal Police at a strategic level. This includes in particular the development, coordination and review of information security guidelines for the Federal Police, participation in the technical supervision of the information security officers of 11 subordinate authorities and reporting on the status of information security. You will also work in committees (including inter-agency committees) and moderate the exchange of information on information security at authority level. Your team's tasks also include developing a risk management system for information security, planning awareness-raising measures and evaluating new technologies from the perspective of the ISMS.

    Requirements profile

  • A university degree with a Master's degree (Master / Dipl. univ.) in computer science, communications engineering, business informatics or a comparable university degree program related to computer science
  • Knowledge of BSI standards 200-1, 200-2, 200-3 and the UP Bund
  • Knowledge of IT security systems, IT infrastructures, encryption procedures and ITIL
  • German language skills : business fluent in spoken and written (at least level C1)
  • Ability to familiarize yourself with complex tasks and processes
  • High level of communication and negotiation skills
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of information security management and as an IT security officer
  • Several years of experience in the coordination / management of employees / teams
  • High level of responsibility and commitment and ability to work under pressure desirable
  • Ability to work in a structured and conceptual manner
  • You have German or EU / EEA citizenship

    Recruitment is generally intended as a tariff employee. Classification is in accordance with the provisions of the TV EntgO Bund and the personal requirements in pay group 13.

    If the requirements (completed IT degree and / or relevant professional experience) are not met, the employee will be placed in a lower pay group.

    Once the security check has been completed, if you have one of the above-mentioned degrees, you can be appointed as a civil servant from grade A 13h. German or EU / EEA citizenship is required for appointment as a civil servant.

    Already a civil servant? You must not have reached the age of 50 to apply for a transfer to the federal civil service. For applicants in the higher administrative service, a position with the grade A 14 BBesO is available for the advertised post. Applicants from external authorities can therefore be considered up to grade A 14 BBesO.
