About this Position

We are seeking a Team Lead – Transport Coordinator (Air & Sea) to join our growing logistics team. This position plays a critical role in managing and supervising the daily operations of international transport coordination via air and sea freight, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while leading a small team of coordinators. The ideal candidate has a strong background in international logistics, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

What you´ll do

  • Lead and supervise the Air & Sea Transport Coordination team, ensuring smooth daily operations and optimal performance
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the shipment of goods via air & sea, including booking freight, managing schedules, and coordinating with carriers
  • Liaise with internal teams (warehouse, customer service) and external partners (shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders) to ensure timely delivery
  • Monitor shipment status, proactively address delays or issues, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Manage transportation documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and shipping manifests
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies
  • Optimize transport routes and costs while maintaining high service standards
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to air & sea transport operations
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance skills and efficiency

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Min. 3 years of proven experience in air & sea freight coordination
  • Min. 3 years of people management experience
  • Business fluent English language skills
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and freight documentation
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with global freight forwarders and carriers
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade regulations
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus (German, Spain, French)
