Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for supporting international teams and navigating the complexities of cross-border HR operations? We are looking for a proactive, people-oriented HR Advisor to join a growing European HR team in Budapest.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will play a key role in driving HR excellence, supporting acquisitions, and contributing to initiatives that foster employee engagement and operational consistency.

  • Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience;
  • Fluent English and native Hungarian (additional European languages are a plus);
  • Strong knowledge of Hungarian labour laws and HR best practices;
  • Confident communicator with excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Comfortable working independently;
  • Take a hands-on approach to establishing the HR function, including handling day-to-day operations;
  • At least one day a week office presence;
  • Willingness to travel approx. 10–15% of the time.

Act as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related matters;, Support the integration of newly acquired companies, ensuring alignment with group HR practices;, Assist in the harmonisation of compensation, benefits, and employee terms and conditions for acquired employees where applicable;, Guide employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation;, Partner with business leaders on recruitment and onboarding processes across multiple jurisdictions;, Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal policies in Hungary;, Support payroll coordination and benefits administration;, Manage HR administration;, Contribute to HR projects such as engagement surveys, training initiatives, and process improvements;, Support the delivery of HR workshops and employee engagement initiatives.] Requirements : Experience in multi-country environment, HR, Labour laws, Experience supporting acquisitions
