Key Account Manager – TMS Hungary.

TMS Global are a wholly owned subsidiary of DS Smith, anInternational Paper company who are alisted multi-national packaging and display manufacturing business and a leading global provider of corrugated packaging solutions. TMS Global is an outsourced provider of end-to-end Retail Marketing / POS and Packaging services and solutions Globally. We partner with our customers managing all retail POS categories as well as innovative and sustainable Packaging Solutions and Supply chain management globally as their single outsourced partner.

We are active in 97 markets globally and we are made up of just over 300 people who are spread internationally across APAC, LATAM, EMEA and NA.

About the Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the commercial strategy for our clients. Your primary responsibilities include leading a team,defining and managing key account plans, monitoring progress against targets, and implementing strategies to achieve performance goals. You will lead key accounts, focusing on customer retention and development, and drive sales and margin growth through a value-added approach. Additionally, you will engage with customers to support sales and strategically develop significant cross-country accounts. Leveraging your expertise and market insights, you will explore all potential business development opportunities to maximize sales and profit. Your role is crucial in fostering strong customer relationships, ensuring loyalty, and delivering a best-in-class customer experience.

This role offers an ideal balance, with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in Budapest, Hungary,with frequent travel to be expected.

Some key responsibilities will be :

Strategy & Growth :

Define and deploy client strategies aligned with growth and margin objectives.

Coordinate activities and services per signed contracts.

Deliver targeted business results and drive actions to improve profitability.

Manage the key account value delivery projects pipeline.

Own and leverage the value proposition.

Review and recommend contractual terms and pricing.

Strengthen brand awareness through external communication.

Utilize Internally crafted methodologies to maximize business value.

Customer Engagement Strategies :

Develop long-term client partnerships and prioritize key stakeholder relationships.

Maintain alignment with customers and monitor strategic activities.

Balance customer expectations with the company's delivery capabilities.

Implement customer retention strategies and drive value selling.

Contribute to client sustainability and innovation roadmaps.

Travel to meet with clients and stakeholders as needed.

Other Capabilities :

Provide KPI reporting and strategic project achievements.

Utilize pricing strategies for value-added business opportunities.

Develop and manage efficient local value delivery teams if required.

Build relationships with key sales and business development stakeholders.

Leadership :

Develop and coach your team members

Ensure consistent ways of working and team collaboration and cohesion

Demonstrate ownership and inspire through strategic thinking and hands-on attitude.

Facilitate internal understanding and selling of unique services.

People & Culture :

Drive results through collaboration and accountability.

Align strategy with operations to capture feedback.

Ensure consistent application of processes and ways of working.

Stay updated on supply and demand issues, trends, and competitors.

About You

We are seeking a motivated Key Account Manager to manage central relationships with a strategic mindset that extends beyond a single country. This role requires someone who can effectively coordinate with local operational leads and ensure successful execution through field team members.

Key Qualifications :

Strong business acumen and commercial experience at a senior level, with excellent communication skills to engage with internal and external senior stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage and lead remote teams.

Experience in managing manufacturing key accounts or logistics (3PL / 4PL) or outsourcing.

Demonstrated results in driving growth and managing organizational change in complex international structures.

Track record of delivering on strategic sales, innovation, and sustainability roadmaps for international companies.

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take on new challenges and risks.

Experience managing accounts with a commercial value of €20 million or more.

Strong project management skills, focusing on project delivery and commercial considerations, including contract negotiations and handling escalations.

Mental agility and flexibility to navigate complex stakeholder interactions.
