Purpose of the position :
The Network Development Manager will report to the Senior Manager Network Development. The role’s primary responsibility will be to manage the route network recommendations for the airline, including managing capacity on existing markets and driving expansion of the network with new routes, new bases, strategic planning and reacting to the competitive environment changes.

Responsibilities :
Assessing new markets based on strategic fit, financial performance and growth potentialRecommending new routes and bases to add to the networkDeveloping financial forecasts for potential new routes and basesBuilding and maintaining financial evaluation tools as requiredWorking with the Revenue Management team and Airport Development team to determine amendments to existing routes, frequencies and airportsAssessing competition in terms of strategic plans, capacity changes, strengths / weaknesses and recommending actions based on the risks and opportunitiesAssessing and interpreting market, economic and industry trends and the impact on route choiceManaging the airport mix to ensure it does not exceed budgeted costsManaging regulatory affairs of the network. Securing seasonal route permits and new route designations.Building relationships with airports and third parties (regions, tourism bodies, Civil Aviation Authorities etc.)Maximize profitability by optimizing capacity and weekly frequencies, ensuring the right product is offered to the marketManaging capacity on a portfolio of routes comprising several countries and basesDeliver monthly capacity plan updates to managementRequirements :
