Database Engineer (f / m / div)

Be part of our newly established IT Department at Infineon Technologies' Budapest office, a key hub for our global competence center in IT infrastructure, integration, and security. As a skilled Database Engineer, you will play a vital role in providing global operational support for our databases, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT data center department and supporting our internal customers worldwide.We are seeking a Database Engineer to join our IT Department in Budapest. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and high availability of our databases, providing expert support to internal customers, and collaborating with global teams to drive database excellence.

In your new role you will :

• Operating and administering databases on-premises and in private cloud setups.
• Providing expert support to Infineon's internal customers for troubleshooting and project-related database issues
• Supporting our automated IT processes to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintaining and supporting our self-service platforms for optimal performance.
• Collaborating with our global team and partnering teams from other areas to achieve common goals.
• Performing regular health checks on databases to ensure they are in good health status.
• Providing 24 / 7 support on a rotation basis, including public holidays and as required, to ensure uninterrupted database operations.

You are a team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders from around the world. You are open to collaborating with different cultures and departments and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can work independently and as part of a team. You are self-motivated, diligent, and driven to learn and improve. With a strong foundation in IT and a passion for database management, you are well-equipped to succeed in this role.
