The city of Bochum, with a population of around 375,000, is one of the economic and cultural centers of the Ruhr region with a large number of sophisticated scientific, educational and cultural sites as well as many facilities for leisure, sport and recreation.

The "House of Knowledge", a highly digitalized meeting place with the adult education centre, city library, UniverCity and a market hall, is being built in an almost hundred-year-old brick building in Bochum's city centre. It is one of the most exciting projects of the Bochum Strategy. As IT Coordinator, you will play a key role in the technical implementation.

The project is initially limited until the end of 2028. You will nevertheless receive a permanent employment contract.

These tasks await you :

• You will act as an interface between the city's IT department, external partners and the innovative House of Knowledge project - a central project of the Bochum Strategy.
• You coordinate workflows between city requirements, innovative ideas of the House of Knowledge and the technical possibilities of IT - with effects on IT equipment, IT applications, IT security and organization.
• Their focus is on the digital integration of administrative workstations in the new House of Knowledge, in which the city library, adult education center, UniverCity and market hall will form a new kind of place for learning and experiencing together in the future.
• You will coordinate the management of external consulting companies to design and implement innovative digital services for customers
• You will ensure a smooth flow of information through regular communication with all stakeholders involved and make a significant contribution to the successful technical implementation of this unique project.
