The role

You will manage R&D costs in your perimeter, provide insight on actuals, analyze variances, lead month-end close and budgeting activities, and partner closely with Finance Business Partners and R&D stakeholders around the world. You’ll help improve processes and collaboration across global R&D while developing your analytical and interpersonal skills.

What you’ll do

• Month-end close : Prepare accruals and manage postings, monitor inconsistencies and corrdinate reclassifications.
• Budgeting & forecasting : Review and analyze actuals vs. plan / forecast; highlight variances to Finance Business Partners; coordinate system updates (TM1). Partner with local teams on internal cost budgets and provide commitment data for external collaborations.
• Management reporting : Prepare post-close reports; analyze YTD / YTG performance; deliver clear commentary for R&D stakeholders (Power BI, TM1).
• PO & spend tracking : Track activities behind R&D POs and engage stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely receipting (SAP).
• Business partnering : Work with Finance Business Partners across R&D to deliver cohesive, seamless support to R&D leaders.
• Controls & compliance : Ensure adherence to SOX and internal control requirements.
• Continuous improvement : Identify process simplification opportunities and drive tool enhancements.
