Summary
The Center of Excellence Accounts Payable Team is responsible for on-time payment delivery to all 3rd party suppliers in line with contractual terms and conditions. Our team goals are to streamline financial processes and implement new strategic solutions and systems to drive enhanced performance across all entities.
The role reports into the Head of AP and TE and will have regular exposure to EMEA director and regional leadership. While acting as a coach for individual team members the leader uses a continuous improvement mindset to ensure standardization and increased process efficiencies across migrated AP activities and satisfaction in our local offices and factories. In such he / she plays a crucial role in the further growth of Varian and the success of our Center of Excellence.
Specific Responsibilities :
Join the management in setting out a roadmap and clear objectives to the team.
Support strategic system and process improvement rollouts to increase efficiency and compliance.
Business partner with regional and country controllers to enhance process performance.
Coordinate external and internal audit requirements.
Lead a team of 8-10 Accounts Payable Analysts and Senior Analysts.
Act as coach and support individual development through continuous career discussions.
Be a role model by working and living the company values.
Ensure the timeliness and quality of deliverables of the team.
Implement and execute controls, compliance, and risk monitoring.

Tech Savvy Data analytics. Proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge in SAP and Qview, ServiceNow and other Data tools are an advantage.
Desired qualifications and experience :
Bachelor’s degree required, college courses in accounting preferred.
5-8 years of Accounts Payable or comparable experience - preferably using SAP.
Previous experience with leading people and / or projects.
