Data Engineer (REF4367J)

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer with a passion for data visualization and reporting to join our growing data team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our data pipelines, with a primary focus on building impactful dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI . You'll work closely with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into effective data solutions.

What You'll Do :

• Design and Develop Data Models : Create and optimize robust data models within Power BI and other relevant data platforms to support complex reporting and analytical requirements.
• Power BI Dashboard Development : Lead the end-to-end development of interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and user-friendliness.
• ETL / ELT Pipeline Development : Build, maintain, and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL / ELT) processes from various source systems into our data warehouse / data lake.
• Data Quality & Governance : Implement and enforce data quality checks and governance best practices to ensure the reliability and integrity of our data assets.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner closely with business users, analysts, and other teams to gather reporting requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver data solutions that meet their needs.
• Performance Optimization : Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and underlying data models to ensure efficient data retrieval and responsiveness.
• Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, data models, and Power BI solutions.
• Troubleshooting & Support : Provide support for existing data solutions and Power BI reports, troubleshooting issues and implementing timely resolutions.
• Azure Advantage : Utilize your knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage) to build scalable and efficient data solutions.
