Job Description

The primary purpose of the Patient Access Manager for HUN is to maximize access and uptake for in-line and pipeline brands by ensuring that the market access strategy and tactics are aligned with the country / cluster business objectives.

There is a direct responsibility of local (Hungary in this case) market access and community engagement activities to support the commercialization of company products by optimizing market access and market share especially regarding health economic and health political aspects.

The Patient Access Manager plays an essential role In delivering in the overall brand market access strategy (CEE and country level) for in-line and pipeline products within Hemophilia, Hematology and Specialty Care area, ensures successful cross-functional working with the commercial and medical business functions in country and with CEE / HQ colleagues where relevant Some responsibilities for specific regional (CEE) projects is expected part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full Price & Reimbursement responsibility (responsible for managing and execution of whole approval process inc). managing the vendors). Close cooperation with country team is crucial for this part of the role. It covers complete execution of market access activities in relevant country (countries) which includes planning and execution of all market access strategies, tactics and solutions — launch planning, price and reimbursement procedures, portfolio management, legislative / environment changes adoption, relationship with stakeholders etc.
  • To develop market access strategic and tactical plans for in-line and pipeline products to ensure delivery on business objectives.
  • To ensure the cross functional cooperation with the HUN & CEE PACE teams as well as with CEE & HQ product teams regarding all questions about pricing and reimbursement and value argumentation. Active cooperation in all PACE projects (Global and CEE), enhanced X-functional cooperation on CEE platform level
  • To develop / adapt value demonstration tools, e.g. cost effectiveness and budget impact models for use with customers, value propositions, etc, ensuring projects are delivered in a timely manner and through cross- functional working with colleagues.
  • To lead the cooperation with consultants contracted for specific market access tasks.
  • To work with wider market access and regulatory teams (CEE / HQ) to shape early pipeline access strategy and data generation plan for pipeline assets / indications in conjunction with wider market access, medical and commercial teams
  • To support to maintain a thorough knowledge of the healthcare system, health policy, commissioning process, tendering process and the customer interface relevant to the therapeutic area.
  • To maintain a network of influencers and decision makers to bring external ins1ghts and intelligence to Sobi's decision making; maintain strong relationship with payer customers.
  • To identify and anticipate future payer customer needs, legislative environment changes, constraints and requirement impacting Sobi and the therapeutic areas.
  • To educate internal colleagues / teams on changes in the external environment and how this affects Sobi's payer strategies and adapt Sobi's payer strategies In line with external changes.
  • Responsable for managing allocated programs and budgets.
  • Perform according to GxP (GCP, GVP, HCC, 5OPs)
  • Report to management in accordance with Sobi requirements and standards

Qualifications

Education / Learning Experience

  • University Degree level education
  • Experience in innovative market access in Pharma
  • Multi-stakeholder project management and leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of health system and healthcare decision making, including regulatory, safety, legal and compliance environment.
  • Skills / Knowledge

  • Establish credible and long-lasting professional relationships and has personal impact through engaging respectfully and professionally
  • Focus on personal accountability and ownership - constantly challenging oneself to take responsibility for continuous performance improvement and operational excellence
  • Effective listening skills, ability to work effectively in virtual teams, and in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Strong experience in market access related matters incl. P&R submissions, Managed entry schemes, HTA etc.
  • Strong understanding of payer environment and government affairs / policy / advocacy
  • Knowledge of health system and healthcare decision making, including regulatory, safety, legal and compliance environment.
  • Ability to conduct situation analysis of external environment and synthesize relevant information for business strategies and support development of country-specific and account strategic plans
  • Ability to identify compelling ways to demonstrate and communicate product value to payers / representatives of accounts
  • Fluency in written and spoken Hungarian & English.
