About the Job
The Head of IT is instrumental in defining and driving the strategic IT direction. The position encompasses complete oversight and accountability for the execution of transformation, change, delivery and run of IT services, ensuring outstanding service delivery aligned with global standards towards AZ Technology's customers. This position demands a strategic approach to managing applications and infrastructure services, overseeing financial aspects, and integrating the insurance / global line OE's legacy systems into Allianz Technology's global delivery model. A critical aspect of this role is to lead internal as well as external transformation programs.
What you do
- Accountable for the adoption of shared services, group target platforms, and transformation projects delivery, as well as legacy sunsetting and thus for the overall delivery of the IT roadmap towards the customer. Ensure these initiatives contribute to customer satisfaction.
- End-to-end accountability for operational stability and efficiency towards the customer. This responsibility extends to both application and infrastructure domains, steered via Production Manager.
- Manages in full responsibility the customer legacy services including the thrive for decommissioning and harmonizing according to the transformation plans Responsible for the replacement of legacy solutions with target Group solutions
- Manages IT supply capabilities and IT plan including planning, budgeting, resourcing, in line with Allianz Technology processes, aligning with the OE’s planning cycles
- Monitors AZT IT budget & costs toward the plan, and seeks for continuous optimization; and embraces full OE P&L responsibility towards Allianz Technology.
- Manage the local account-, production- and transformation manager jointly with the regional stakeholders, being accountable for all OE customer interactions as well as internal AZ Technology transformation programs
- Manage OE demands and align these demands with IT functions inside AZT & AZ SE H resorts regarding compliance to AZ Group IT and business governance
What you bring
Academic background in IT or related technology field, or a minimum of 5 years of hands-on leadership experience in IT delivery or transformationDemonstrated excellence in people leadership, with a strong track record in talent development and team empowermentProven ability to shape and execute IT strategy, with successful delivery of complex transformation programsFull ownership of IT financials, including budget planning, cost control, and P&L responsibilityStrong cross-functional leadership with the ability to navigate and influence across regions and organizational boundariesDeep technical expertise paired with a forward-thinking, innovation-driven mindsetCustomer-first orientation with a passion for simplification and user-centric IT solutionsFluency in English and Hungarian (written and spoken) is essential; additional languages are a plus in global settingsBasic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.What we offer
