Job Description
Tribe Voice & Messaging is responsible for the design, development, planning, validation, and operation of all voice and messaging platforms within DT Technik’s fixed and mobile networks throughout their entire lifecycle. We provide innovative and reliable state-of-the-art services to our customers.
The TAS-GK (Telephony Application Server - Business Customers) environment provides a voice over ip platform for business and wholesale customer (SIP-Trunk 1.0, Wholesale, C.SIP.G). Currently are hosted more than , business customers from all business segments (S / M / L / XL).
Applicants support the TAS-GK infrastructure team as application and system manager in the planning, implementation and monitoring of changes in the Telco system environment in accordance with the regulations and specifications of Deutsche Telekom Technik.
- Plan, estimate, coordinate, carry out changes in highest quality on network infrastructure components like Juniper Switches, Broadcom VMware virtual machines and SUSE Linux OS
- Implement the continuous improvement / deployment of specific system module deliveries arriving via the CI / CD pipeline from the supplier
- Ensure that operational activities remain on time, according to the agile roadmaps and quarterly plans
- Ensure the implementation of security and compliance requirements in the task field (hot fixing, certificate upgrades)
- Carry out pre-change and post-change tests and derive necessary measures to ensure the production stability, availability, and security of applications / systems
- Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper implementation of changes
- Perform error analysis and troubleshooting sessions, provide reports according to infrastructure monitoring via Zabbix, Elastic Search and Kibana
- Prepare and administrate the own project repository and application within Magenta CI / CD repository
Qualifications
Must have skills :
Good working knowledge of the the IPv4 / IPv6 networking protocols / VLANs / environments including the associated layers and protocols as well as security / access toolsSound knowledge of real-time IT-systems and IP based telecommunication concepts (Network protocols, SIP / RTP tracing)Knowledge and experience of non-cloud-based virtualization technologies (Broadcom VMware vSphere, vCenter, VM)Familiar with pre-deployment and post-deployment testing in the Magentea CI / CD pipelineFamiliar with monitoring tools (Zabbix) and performance analysis (Elastic Search, Kibana)Familiar with ITIL Framework to effectively support Incident and Change Management processes of the Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbHAbility to manage incidents, changes related to the above mentioned tools and problem resolutionParticipation in the on-call duties is expectedYou are accustomed to work in geographically distributed team using online tooling such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, Sharepoint, MS teams and alikeNice to have skills :
Technical degree or have completed vocational training in connection with multiple years of experience in the field of system engineeringFamiliar with infrastructure automation via JFrog, Artifactory and AWX AnsibleITIL Framework service operation certification is an advantageFamiliarity with backup & recovery concepts in the network infrastructure (e.g hardware; NetApp, Juniper, Lenovo Server or OS SUMA / SLES)Knowledge and ideally practical experience in the areas of : cryptography, PKI and authentication services are advantageous e.g. to be able to identify errors based on troubles with expired certificatesGerman level B2 considered as an advantage
