EMEA Benefits Specialist (German-speaking)
We are looking for a new Benefits Specialist colleague who would administer the German benefits programs under the direction of the EMEA Benefits Supervisor. Provides guidance to employees regarding plan enrolment, ongoing communication, program features / changes, and works directly with employees to understand and resolve coverage, payments, and claims issues.

Responsibilities :
- Administers German benefits programs including statutory and non-statutory retirement, pension, medical, leave-of-absence, and other related programs
- Ensures the required policies, reporting and documentation, contract negotiation, and legal compliance to maintain a competitive benefit offering for employees
- Assists employees in the successful resolution of benefits issues, payments, claims disputes, etc. with help from local HR / Finance staff to effectively communicate with employees in the variety of languages required
- Works directly with employees to ensure effective enrolment and continued coverage in local benefit programs.
- Works with outside service providers including government agencies, insurance brokers, benefits providers, systems vendors, etc. to establish and maintain effective benefits programs
- Facilitates country-specific open enrolment processes, benefit system upgrades, interaction with Employee Central, and other benefit projects.
- Interprets complex laws, regulations, policies related to benefits, and serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for leave programs and with applicable country state laws.
- Willing to support other EMEA countries for the same tasks.
Requirements :
Advanced verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in German (fluent or native).Very good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English. Any other languages would be an advantageEducation : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in employee benefits administrationRelevant experience in employee benefits and benefits / HR administration and legislationStakeholder management (vendors, service providers, brokers, HRExcellent Customer Service skills and good problem-solving abilities requiredComputer skills with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).Skills in SAP modules, Employee Central and Power BI are an adventageInterprets complex laws, regulations and policies related to benefits and employment law that may be unique to each country servedAbility to search and find out solutions to employee requests desiredWhat Bio-Rad can offer :
