A Snaps of Your Day
You as even a freshly graduated electrical engineer is
making short,1-2 weeks trips to job sites all over the world for installation
and commissioning of generator monitoring systems as well as customer trainings
on the system. After your detailed and on-the-job trainings you support the
engineering team in planning and engineering of generator monitoring projects
when you are at the Siemens Energy Center in Budapest, Hungary. In addition,
you are part of the R&D team designing and develop new generator monitoring
modules for the future.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Installation and
commissioning of generator monitoring systems and related sensors as part
of a global team in worldwide locations
Execute and evaluate
generator monitoring measurements like Partial Discharge, End Winding
Vibration, Rotor Flux and other measurements
Work together with the
engineering team in Muelheim, Germany to design customer specific
generator monitoring solutions
Support the engineering
team in customizing technical / electrical drawings of generator monitoring
systems and manuals
Post processing of
measurement data and creating of reports about the performed evaluation
and commissioning
Provide technical support
for regional sales, field service and marketing
Develop recommendations
for monitoring solutions based on practical and theoretical experience
including preparation of cost estimates for internal customers
What You Bring
Bachelor, Master or
comparable engineering degrees on Electrical Engineering or related
disciplines (fresh graduates are welcome)
Basic knowledge on Turbo
Generator technology is welcome
Basic knowledge of
generator monitoring technology like partial discharge measurements,
generator end winding vibration measurements and rotor flux measurements
is welcome
Basic knowledge on sensor
and electrical installation technologies
Knowledge in MS-Office,
MS-Excel, MS-Powerpoint, OPC-UA interface and EPLAN
Willing to travel
worldwide up to 50% of working time (short, 1-2 weeks delegations mainly)
Have an aim to find the
optimum solution to technical issues with aim to increase customer
satisfaction
Very Good verbal and
written communications skills in English
