Job Description

As a Controller , you directly support the country manager and local CFO within your assigned scope. You take ownership of controlling and reporting tasks for the German Automotive entity . You are responsible for monthly group reporting, annual budgeting & forecast and ad hoc controlling activities to support local management teams. You serve as the key financial contact for both the operational team and the country manager.

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process and provide data for group-level consolidation
  • Take charge of local controlling to ensure the reliability of monthly reports
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages (dashboards and other deliverables, as needed)
  • Understand the operational strategy and identify ways to improve performance
  • Suggest corrective actions where needed and oversee their implementation
  • Review monthly operational KPIs and dashboards
  • Travel internationally (mainly to Germany) to provide on-site support and train local teams (occasionally)
  • Propose new tools and KPIs to analyze and drive performance (develop local controlling processes) and support their set-up and implementation
  • Act as a business partner to country manager
  • Report directly to the German CFO
  • Prepare and analyze monthly results

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance , Accounting , Economics , or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in controlling , FP&A , or financial analysis (IFRS and / or local GAAP are appreciated but not mandatory)
  • Fluency in German (C1+) and strong intermediate English skills (B2+)
  • Proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of accounting / controlling principles plus in general strong IT affinity in order to get familiar with group related IT tools used within the finance community
  • An analytical, proactive, and reliable approach, with strong communication skills
