C++ Architect

Your role

We develop tailored, market-defining health and manufacturing solutions for our customers. Our high level of industry expertise and broad understanding of technological innovations, coupled with an agile mindset, ensure speed and creativity in the development of innovative ideas, for example for digital medical products, medical devices and research solutions for medical technology, life science and pharmaceutical companies.

As a software architect, you will act as a coach for our developer teams and support them with your expert knowledge in the design and implementation of complex software solutions on the basis of C++, taking into account security, quality and compliance requirements.

You will train the teams to document the solutions to be developed in line with best practices. You will support customer acquisition and project initiation through architecture consulting and solution design in presales processes. You will also observe and evaluate current technological developments and trends. Furthermore, you will be responsible for public presence in the form of expert presentations and publications.

You will also need the following skills and experience :

• Several years of experience as a software architect
• Strong C++ skills (at least C++14)
• Experience with Qt (especially Qt 5 and QML)
• Experience with various software design patterns and architectures
• Proven track record of designing and implementing applications using C++
• On-Device- or Embedded Experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of other mainstream programming languages and frameworks especially C#, Python and TypeScript
• Navigating through cybersecurity, threat analysis and hardening techniques
• An active command of English and / or German
• Experience in the medical technology, pharmaceutical or life science sector would be an advantage
• A strong focus on customers and results
• Ability to work in a team, good communication skills and a professional attitude
• Independent and autonomous approach to work
• A keen awareness of quality and creativity
