As a  Software Engineering Team Lead  (Data Enrichment, Backend Team), you will lead a team of backend engineers responsible for building, scaling, and modernizing SEON’s data collection systems. You will play a key role in driving the continuous design and development while managing team performance, mentoring engineers, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery. Your responsibilities will span technical leadership, delivery ownership, and close collaboration with Product Management and Engineering Management to support the team’s growth and effectiveness.

This role reports into the Engineering Manager of Data Enrichment.

This role offers flexibility and is based in our  Budapest office with a hybrid schedule  of being in the office approximately three days per week.

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 1–2 years in a technical or team leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Java (preferably Java 17+) and Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.).
• Proven experience delivering scalable, production-grade backend systems and APIs.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, performance optimization, and microservices.
• Familiarity with SQL / NoSQL databases, CI / CD pipelines, and containerized environments.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, empathetic leadership style and fluency in English (written and spoken).
