Summary

Our product, Ethos is the flagship treatment device of Varian providing adaptive treatments to the patients. Patient Management team in Budapest is focusing on delivering key features in the area of treatment management and interoperability. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will participate in the daily activities of the Software Development lifecycle in contribution with colleagues and sites in Baden and Helsinki.

Major Responsibilities

Participate in all stages of software development (analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance) for the treatment management system application product family

Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definitions, requirements and proposed solutions

Develop necessary documents to identify requirements and solutions

Write well-designed, clean, testable code

Integrate software components into a fully functional software system

Document and maintain software functionality

Applies all Quality Assurance procedures and processes

Actively share knowledge among co-workers

Work in close collaboration with other development teams and stakeholders in Europe and overseas

Participates in Budapest Engineering Center’s research & development activities and projects.

Mentor and lead the team members in technical topics

Represent the domain towards technical leadership in Ethos Community

Finally, due to the safety critical nature of radiation therapy, your commitment to quality is a must

Job requirements

MSc or BSc Degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent knowledge and skills

3-5 years of experience in software engineering preferably working on shipped products in regulated industries

Experience in technical leadership, designing software architecture

Software design and development experience in C#

Knowledge and interest in modern software development, testing e.g. OOP, TDD, etc.

Strong communication skills, fluency in written and spoken English

Ability to cope with complexity

High social skills and team player to fit into our team and international environment
