Campus Recruitment-Test Engineer（odor and VOC direction）

The R&D department plans the sustainable product and technology road map for Europe and works on developing advanced, full electric vehicles series, which fulfill current and future European private transportation market needs. By cooperating with European leading suppliers, the R&D department continuously upgrades design and engineering abilities for excellent product performance and quality.

As R&D Engineer, you will do research, analysis and evaluation of E-mobility products, user experience and usability of both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. You will use these research insights for the product development and iteration, working closely together with product, design and engineering teams.

Your main responsibility is :

• Responsible for the collection and pretreatment of VOC samples (such as automotive interior parts), including Tedlar bag sampling, solid adsorption-thermal desorption, headspace sampling and other operations.
• Independently operate GC-MS (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry), thermal desorption instrument, headspace sampler and other equipment to complete instrument calibration (standard sample preparation, chromatographic column maintenance) and sample detection to ensure accurate data.
• Track the source of abnormal odor, cooperate with the R & D / production department to analyze the causes of odor (such as raw material selection, production process parameters), and provide suggestions for improvement.
• Use chromatographic workstation (such as ChemStation and LabSolutions), Origin and Excel to process the test data, check the abnormal data (such as baseline drift and peak type abnormality) and recheck.
• Write a compliance test report, specify the VOC concentration (such as benzene, formaldehyde, TVOC), odor level and whether it meets the standard requirements, and interpret the report conclusion with the customer / internal department (R & D, quality).
• Strictly implement laboratory safety specifications : wear gas mask / nitrile gloves when operating VOC reagents, work in a fume hood, manage VOC waste gas (activated carbon adsorption) and hazardous waste, and avoid safety risks. 7. Be responsible for the construction of laboratory system and the training of test ability. Develop training courses.
